Creating Engaging First Year Experience Programmes

First Year Experience (or Student Success) programmes help bridge the transition to higher education for all students, and particularly those who may be first in family or from an underserved community.

This course has been developed with Sarah Kravits and Carol Carter from LifeBound, USA and includes short videos, activities and discussion prompts. When completed you will:

  • Have an understanding of what First Year Experience (FYE) programmes are and how it can help with student transition and retention.
  • Be introduced to challenges and opportunities of implementing FYE programmes.
  • Be equipped with strategies to help you create a successful FYE programme.
