Sandra Abegglen is a Researcher in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Calgary, Canada, where she explores online education, and learning and teaching in the design studio. Sandra has a MSc in Social Research and a MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. She has extensive experience both as a social researcher and lecturer/programme leader. Sandra’s research interests are in online education, peer mentoring, creative learning and teaching, visual narratives, identity, and qualitative research methods. She has published widely on emancipatory learning and teaching practice, playful pedagogy, and remote education. Sandra is a team member of the TALON – Teaching and Learning Online Network.
