Karrin Lukacs is an award-winning teaching and learning geek with over 20 years of experience in higher education. Karrin is currently the Training Specialist at the Department of Family Services in Fairfax County, VA, USA. Prior to her current role, Karrin was the Director for Transformative Teaching and Learning and Professor of Curriculum & Instruction at Shenandoah University, USA. Over the course of her career, she has worked with learners ranging from preschoolers to doctoral candidates and, regardless of course format, is committed to ensuring that the learning experience is engaging and equitable. As someone whose Sparketype is “Maker,” Karrin loves to use the principles of design thinking, playful pedagogy, and creativity to craft courses that others have called “works of art.” In addition to being a certified instructional designer, Karrin is also an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Innovator.
