Dawn Marie Gilmore is the Academic Director at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) Online, Australia. Previous to her current role Dawn was the Director of Quality Enhancement at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Dawn is also the Executive Secretary for the Open and Distance Learning Association of Australia (ODLAA) and is a book reviewer for Higher Education Research Development Society of Australasia (HERDSA). She has authored peer review academic journal articles, news articles, and blogs about teaching, learning, and quality. During the pandemic her short online teaching tips were read globally by a community of 15,000 and endorsed as best practice by colleges, schools, and organisations. Dawn’s latest publication include ‘Unbundling the approach to teaching in online Australian higher education’ in Management in Education, 2021.
