Increasing Student Persistence By Working With Emotions
Emotions impact learning. In this course, we explore how to work with emotions to encourage persistence and improve belonging in your classrooms.
This course has been developed with Martha A Diede from the Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence at Syracuse University, New York, USA, and it includes short videos, activities, and discussion prompts. When completed you will:
- Understand the value of emotions in learning.
- Use techniques like naming emotions to work with difficult emotions.
- Predict where in your teaching attention to emotions may be warranted.
