Testimonials and case studies

What our faculty have said about OneHE, and what I appreciate too, is they can go in for a very short amount of time and engage for a few minutes… and they can leave with something they can take back.
Megan Eberhardt-Alstot
Learning Design Lead
California State University Channel Islands
OneHE values CITLs as hubs to reach faculty, to work in partnership with them. We’ve created local spaces so we can foster local collaborations and local conversations. Their conversations have been really remarkable!
Tim Henkel
Assistant Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning and Director CITL
University of South Florida
OneHE is easy to navigate and rich with content. If I’m looking for an activity or a specific theme or content, all I need to do is search for it and it’s there. I’m so fortunate my institution has access to this and I wish every educator in the world had access to content this valuable and informative.
Alex Carlson-Tooker
Faculty Teaching and Learning Center Program Coordinator
Aims Community College
I describe [OneHE] as on demand professional development 2.0. There are other things that are available in the market but OneHE is really next generation in that the videos are so current [and] they allow for that interaction which is unique. So faculty as they move through the mini course are not only interacting with each other, but they’re actually interacting with the presenters and the experts in the field who will respond to their posts. I find that a really unique option within OneHE.
Mary Johannesen-Schmidt
Coordinator, Center for Teaching Innovation
Oakton College
The feedback part of [OneHE] has been useful to me… I’ve gotten a number of interesting pedagogical suggestions over the time period and I’ve been able to implement those.
Carl Gabrini
Professor of Accounting
Dalton State College
One of the things that I like is that with OneHE there are various categories of courses and activities that are available anytime, anywhere, whether it’s on your phone, whether it’s on your laptop.

What do educators think about our courses?

Helping Students Learn How to Learn
"The principles taught in this course are evidence-based and create efficiency within the classroom and the students in completing their work or simply studying for a test."
Introduction to the VALUE Rubrics
"The course was short but comprehensive. I felt content was very well explained and organised. I loved the examples of how to modify the rubrics and how to introduce them to faculty and students!"
Learner Autonomy Beyond the Classroom
"I liked this kind of short-burst bootcamps that cover practical and trending topics, which allowed me to quickly get some tips and perspectives from an expert!"
Introduction To A Pedagogy Of Kindness
"This training brought back memories of how teachers taught me in HE and how distrust was conveyed through the syllabus. It gave me pointers on how to bring compassion and trust back into education."
Helping Students Learn How to Learn
"I enjoyed and appreciated the format of this course. I liked how the video spoke of the research and experience from the presenter. [...] I especially valued the feedback from other educators that participated in the course."
Small Teaching: Interleaving
"I never thought of blending or interleaving material from several chapters on quizzes. However, I do have the questions shuffled so that students will not get used to a certain order. Great course!"
How to Review and Improve Your Course
"The course content resonates with me considering that I have continued to reflect on my course syllabus and every semester I make some revisions. However, my revisions have rather been half-haphazard without a framework. This lesson has provided me with a grade framework to guide how I reflect on my course syllabus for revision."
Humanising Your Online Learning
"The perception of online teaching often differs significantly from the reality of what it involves and demands. Many assume that moving online eliminates the challenges faced by marginalized students, but this is far from true."
