Fostering Critical Thinking In Discussions

This course offers a framework to support students' critical reflection in classroom discussions.

This course has been developed with Dr Fufy Demissie from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, and it includes short videos, activities, and discussion prompts. When completed you will:

  • Understand why it is important to develop critical reflective thinking in your students. 
  • Identify challenges associated with developing critical thinking among students. 
  • Know how to apply the TCJR (Think, Commit, Justify, and Reflect) framework in the classroom to develop critical thinking through discussions.
