How do you and your center ensure you are seen as a valuable resource by faculty and your institution? What do you need to do to build your presence and visibility? How will faculty and your institution gauge your value and what can you do to communicate this to them?

In this course, we speak to directors of Centers for Teaching and Learning (CTLs) about how they secured their place in their institution, what contributed to success (and what didn’t), and the range of things that you can do to win over key supporters and influencers to your side.

This course is led by Chris Hakala and C. Edward Watson with contributions from James M. Lang and Todd D. Zakrajsek. It is part of a series on Pathway to Success: Getting Started as a Leader of Teaching and Learning Development.
