Francesca Helm is assistant professor of English Language and Translation at the University of Padova in Italy and teaches on an international MA in European and Global Studies. She holds a PhD from the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. Her research interests lie in intercultural dialogue and virtual exchange and she is a board member of UNICollaboration, an organization that supports educators in developing and researching online intercultural exchanges. She has been working on the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange project, researching young people’s engagement in Euro-Mediterranean online dialogue. She tweets @Francescahelm11
