Erin has a disciplinary background in chemistry and has taught general, organic, and chemistry and society courses at various public and private institutions, ranging from research-focused institutions to community colleges. This experience with diverse institutions, faculty, and students has given her a unique perspective on higher education and the importance of context and bridging the education research practitioner gap. As an educational developer, Erin strives to create inclusive professional development opportunities that honor and build faculty’s strengths and expertise and meaningfully incorporate students in working toward a more equitable learning environment.
