What does it mean to be part of the movement for better teaching?

OneHE exists to build a connected, informed, questioning and caring global community of educators, because we believe that this how we can achieve better teaching in HE.

Everything we do is guided by these four elements.

Fees are halved in low and medium income countries to encourage participation and create an inclusive global community. Find out whether you are eligible.

foundation news

You have the great ideas - and together we can fund them. Our Foundation funds ideas to improve learning and teaching. The OneHE Foundation uses membership fees to fund projects that are proposed and voted for by members. Watch this space or join our mailing list for updates on projects we have already funded, as well as news of our next funding round.

subject centres

Our thirty Global Subject Centres aim to foster exchange, debate and innovation within and between subject areas. These subject-specific communities, focused on teaching and learning, are convened by a small team of educators.

Once appointed, the convenors act for a one-year term and receive free membership to OneHE. Their role is to encourage discussion, share new resources and help us to grow the reach and value of the OneHE community in their region or discipline area.

Interested in being a convenor? Send us an email and we will be in touch.

grow the A to z of teaching

Our A to Z of Teaching was created for educators to use

It includes definition of terms educators need to understand, such as constructive alignment or flipped classroom. Once you are logged into the OneHE community, there are short videos to explain each concept, crowd-sourced resources and links to recent articles.

Is there a missing term that you think should be added? Do you know a great resource we can include? If so, please recommend it and help us grow the A to Z of Teaching.
