Course

An Overview of Classroom Engagement

Classroom engagement centres on building positive interactions between students and learning activities, their fellow students, and educators.

This course has been developed with Dr Erik Blair from Queen Mary University of London, UK and includes short videos, activities and discussion prompts. When completed you will:

  • Have a better understanding of the different aspects and challenges of classroom engagement.
  • Be able to apply practical approaches to help you with classroom engagement, with a focus on activities and interaction.
  • Be better prepared for the ‘messy’ nature of classroom engagement and feel more confident about jumping right in and having a go.
