The key messages for educators to remember about cultural responsiveness is one, culture matters and it can influence a lot. Two, it keeps things interesting. So it’s just a great way to connect with people. Three, your experience matters. So no matter what experiences you’ve had, whatever experiences you’re willing to share helps you connect with people. And lastly, it’s just important to make the investment in culture, whether it’s academic culture, your community culture, really just taking a step back from how you’ve been doing, what you’ve been doing, and really putting a little bit more emphasis on the environment that you’re creating.
