Rikke Toft Nørgård

Rikke Toft Nørgård is Associate Professor in Educational Design and Technology at The Danish School of Education, Aarhus University, Denmark. Rikke is in the steering group of the Centre for Higher Education Futures (CHEF) and board member of the Philosophy and Theory of Higher Education Society (PaTHES). Rikke’s research focuses on the complexities and interrelationships of technology, hybrid, and digital higher education as well as potentials of teaching and learning design in relation to future education. She is a consortium partner lead in several funded projects with a particular focus on developing new futures in higher education. Projects include ‘VASE – Value-Sensitive Design in Higher Education’, ‘IGNITE – Design Thinking and Making in the Arts and Sciences’ and ‘STAK – Students’ Academic Digital Competencies in Higher Education’. Rikke has given keynotes and published numerous articles on hybrid higher education, digital humanities, and designs for future higher education with a focus on formats, challenges and potentials for the future university.
