Dr Dave Lewis is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Pharmacology and Bioethics in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Leeds, UK. An education focused academic, his activities include creating intra and extracurricular opportunities for student personal and professional development, non-traditional capstone projects and education in research animal sciences. Passionate about supporting colleagues in the Emerging World, he delivers professional education courses in research animal sciences in India, China and across Africa. In recognition of his contributions to student and professional education globally, Dr Lewis has been awarded an AdvanceHE National Teaching Fellowship, the (UK) Physiological Society Otto Hutter Physiology Teaching Prize and the British Pharmacological Society’s Rang Prize for Teaching Excellence.
