Dr. Courtney Plotts is a licensed and certified psychologist who writes and speaks about culturally responsive teaching and community building. Courtney has written two books on Latinx and Black culture and online spaces. She is currently the National Chair of the Council For At-Risk Student Education and Professional Standards, USA. In 2017 the California State Legislature recognised her for a bold commitment to change and education.

Courtney offers workshops on topics related to building community and culture in both face-to-face and online learning spaces, effective culturally responsive teaching, and best practices. Her subject matter expertise was also highlighted in ‘Small Teaching Online by Flower Darby with James M. Lang.
