Event Details
In their webinar, Anna Mills (English Instructor, College of Marin, USA), Lisa Sperber (Lecturer, University of California, Davis), and Carl Whithaus (Director of the University Writing Program at the University of California, Davis) will guide participants through implementing the Peer & AI Review + Reflection (PAIRR) method in their own courses.
Peer & AI Review + Reflection (PAIRR) is a curricular intervention designed to help students develop critical thinking and writing skills with peers and AI. This approach can be applied and adopted in different courses, from first-year composition classes to writing-intensive disciplinary courses like environmental science or plant science.
Building on prior PAIRR presentations, this session will provide hands-on strategies for integrating peer review, AI-generated feedback, and critical reflection to support students’ writing and thinking. Participants will leave with adaptable prompts, assignment models, and practical tools for getting started.
To learn more about PAIRR watch a short interview with Carl: Integrating Peer and AI Review into Assignments with PAIRR Method.
