Introduction to Reflection-Based Activities for Students

Reflection-based activities help students to understand themselves as learners - focussing on how they learn rather than what they have learned.

This course has been developed with Dr Erik Blair from Queen Mary University of London, UK and includes short videos, activities and discussion prompts. When completed you will:

  • Understand how what reflection-based activities are and how they can make the learning process more effective.
  • Know how to begin designing activities that will help students to examine how they have come to learn something.
  • Have a better sense of how to integrate reflective frameworks and practices into your teaching in a way that effectively strengthens student learning outcomes.
