Whether you are involved in the design, purchasing, or planning for the use of technology, it is instructive to put yourself into the mindset of your colleagues who do so. In this activity, focus on one interaction that you want your learners to have with materials, with one another, with you, or with the wider world.

List the elements that the interaction would require: access to content, a real-time video connection, the ability to share files, whatever goes into the interaction.

Then, brainstorm about what you and your learners would need in order for that interaction to take place well, and predict what your institution would need to obtain, create, or share to support the interaction.

Keep your focus narrow for this reflection activity: think of just one interaction, like an individual course assignment, a practice opportunity, or a single-issue conversation.
