This webinar explores how university and college campuses in the United States can prepare for the April 2026 Title II Accessibility deadline by focusing on practices that remove barriers and improve outcomes for all students. Participants will learn how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) reduces access barriers not only for students seeking accommodations, but across courses, services, and campus interactions.

The session will highlight high-impact, low-effort accessibility practices that faculty and staff can implement both before and after the deadline, and introduce “plus-one” design thinking as a practical approach to revising a course, service, or interaction to support greater accessibility and learner autonomy. Attendees will also evaluate common campus accessibility challenges to distinguish between compliance-driven tasks and practices that meaningfully improve student persistence and satisfaction. The webinar concludes with guidance on developing a concise advocacy message that connects accessible design to institutional efficiency, retention, and cost savings.

This webinar will be facilitated by OneHE expert Thomas J.
