Lorna Gonzalez, Ph.D. has been an educator for 20 years, twelve of which have been in higher education. She currently serves as Assistant Vice–President for Digital Learning at California State University Channel Islands, USA. Lorna oversees a professional team of learning designers, academic technologists, and specialists in academic media and accessibility. She contributes leadership to university-wide digital learning and innovation initiatives and writes about emerging technologies and learning for professional and scholarly venues. Lorna co-authored a book chapter titled ‘Pandemic Fever Pitch Terms That Defined a Moment in Higher Education‘ in ‘Recentering Learning: Complexity, Resilience, and Adaptability in Higher Education‘ (2024).
