An Introduction to Team-Based Learning
In this course, you will explore how Team-Based Learning (TBL) can transform your classroom into an engaging, collaborative environment where students take active responsibility for their learning. You will gain hands-on techniques to implement TBL effectively, boosting student accountability, teamwork, and overall academic success.
This course has been developed with Dr Billie Franchini from the University at Albany, State University of New York, USA, and it includes short videos, activities, and discussion prompts. When completed you will be able to:
- Explain how Team-Based Learning (TBL) is different from other forms of collaborative learning.
- Describe the structure of a TBL course and a TBL learning sequence.
- Identify the key benefits of TBL as a teaching method.
