Global Benchmarking Review into Pandemic Response and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Expressions of Interest sought for Global Benchmarking Review into Pandemic Response and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Global Partnership to support Higher Education Institution’s strategic reviews, reporting and resources: Peer Review Portal (PRP) and OneHE are pleased to invite Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from Higher Education institutions for the 2021 Global Benchmarking Review.  Their global partnership involves PRP leading sector-level, evidence-based benchmarking projects for institutional reporting  and decision-making purposes, whilst OneHE provides an online, global community platform to share resources and discuss good practice.

Each year, the Global Benchmarking Review brings together institutions around the world to compare their performance in areas of strategic importance at the institutional and sector levels. The global review also provides an opportunity for institutions to come together to share good practice as well as challenges at the sector level.  Last year’s review explored three aspects of student success: transition and the first-year experience; academic advising; and student mental health and wellbeing.

2021 Global Themes

This year’s themes are:

  1. Institutional impact and innovations in online technologies and the online experience due to COVID-19
  2. Developing, maintaining, and supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion

Institutions interested in benchmarking their practice in these areas are invited to complete the Expression of Interest by 31 July 2021.

Global Review Process and Outcomes

The Global Benchmarking Review Team (PRP and OneHE) will work with each institution to undertake a self-review of each of the themes and support them in gathering data that demonstrates evidence of performance. A sector-level introductory workshop will be held for participating institutions to discuss the global review benchmarking template and evidence to support the review.

There will be a global benchmarking review workshop with all participating institutions and their teams to collaborate and share practice and challenges, including presentations from each institution. Each participating institution receives a detailed, private report that compares their performance against sector comparative data. The report explores the relative impact of the institution’s actions, presents a rich picture of effective practice, and highlights institutional successes that deserve to be showcased. The Review team will also publish a public sector report summarising findings for the sector and showcasing the global good practice evidenced by participating institutions.

The cost of entry is $2,500+GST *(AUD); £1,500 (GBP); $2,000 (USD); €1,600 (EUR) for a single theme, and for HE institutions joining both themes: $4,000+GST* (AUD); £2,200 GBP; $3,100 (USD); €2,600 (EUR). (*No Goods and Services Tax outside Australia).
