
Martha Mullally
Dr. Martha Mullally is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Department of Biology and the Institute of Biochemistry at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She is also the site director for the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) Canada distribution center at Carleton University. Martha obtained her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Dalhousie University and her PhD in Biology from the University of Ottawa. She completed post-doctoral training at the Carl Wieman Science Education Initiative at the University of British Columbia, where she focused on pedagogy in STEM university education. Dr Mullally’s research focuses on teaching and learning in higher education including work on the use of virtual reality to support student learning and the development of tools to support inclusive teaching. At Carleton, Dr Mullally teaches undergraduate courses in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics and Education. Dr Mullally has been the recipient of teaching awards at Carleton, including the Carleton University Chair in Teaching Innovation.
