Martha Eddy, Master of Science in Movement Therapy (MSMT), Certified Movement Analyst (CMA), EdD is a renowned educator, author, and lecturer. Since 1984 she has taught at New York, Columbia, San Francisco, and Princeton Universities and in various smaller liberal arts colleges. Her areas of publication and expertise include curricular development and pedagogical processes in diverse arenas of experiential and embodied education, most notably: neuro-motor development and rehabilitation, somatic education, dance education, applied physiology, and Social Emotional Learning especially as facilitated by non-verbal communication for conflict transformation, community building, violence prevention, and trauma recovery. She has developed curricula for certification courses as well as diverse colleges and universities. In 2017 she received the National Outstanding Educator Award from NDEO in the USA.
