“Use Tomorrow” Strategies for Supporting Neurodivergent Students

Jennifer Pusateri
Event Details
It’s no secret that the number of neurodivergent students continues to grow in higher education (ACHA, 2025), yet many instructors feel unprepared to support them. In this webinar, Jennifer Pusateri, a neurodivergent author and seasoned educational consultant, will introduce strategies for supporting neurodivergent students from her newly published book, A Practical Guide to Teaching Neurodivergent College Students. For example, understanding Hallowell’s “now vs. not now” principle will help instructors support neurodivergent students’ time management skills, and laying out behavioural expectations in the syllabus can help to clarify an instructor’s expectations for college-level classroom behaviours and social interactions. Participants will leave with an introductory understanding of neurodivergence in a college setting, and several “use tomorrow” strategies for supporting neurodivergent students in their courses.
