Emily O. Gravett is the Assistant Director of the Teaching Area in the Center for Faculty Innovation and an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at James Madison University, USA. Emily has been involved in college teaching and supporting the professional growth of other educators for over a decade. She has worked for three different centres devoted to teaching and learning, where she has supported inclusive teaching, active learning, transparency, universal design, classroom community, and reflective practice. Emily has published widely, in journals such as the International Journal of Academic Development, To Improve the Academy, College Teaching, and writes or Wabash’s discipline-specific blog on teaching religion.
