Every community has its own language and as educators we are no different. For those new to teaching in higher education, the learning curve can be remarkably steep. To help, the OneHE community has create the #betterteaching glossary – a new resource to help you to quickly understand the key concepts and practices that underpin effective teaching.

Want to know more about flipping, aligning constructively or separating your summative from your formative? We explain the 200 essential terms to get you started and give you the top cited practice-focused research for each from the last 10 years.

The #betterteaching glossary is an evolving resource. Every week, we’ll be focusing on a different theme and crowd-sourcing new resources and guidance that have helped others to succeed.
