Showcase: Steve Joordens – peer assessment

Steve Joordens is the Director of the Advanced Learning Technologies Lab at the University of Toronto. A 3M National Teaching Fellow and Canadian Post-Secondary #EdTech Leader of the Year, Steve is a specialist in research ethics, critical thinking, technology-enhanced learning and peer assessment.

As Director of the ALT Lab, Steve has focused on creating and assessing educational technologies that have research proven effects while being easy to use. One example is peerScholar which engages students in the design and delivery of assessments, building their critical thinking and cognitive skills and creating collaborative opportunities for learning.
