OneHE, the global network for educators, and Peer Review Portal, the leading Australian course management system, today announced a partnership to enhance teaching, assessment and review within and across disciplines and institutions.

Peer Review Portal provides a cloud-based online course management system specifically designed to support accreditation, assessment and review in higher education. Endorsed by the Australian Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), the portal enables practitioners to complete peer reviews quickly and cost-effectively using cloud-based software.

OneHE is a global network for educators who are passionate about learning and teaching. It enables educators, both individually, and within their disciplines, to connect, collaborate and share their practice so they feel more confident, better supported and valued. OneHE promotes innovation in learning and teaching through funding and awards.

The new partnership will enable Peer Review Portal reviewers to access OneHE’s global subject centres free of charge, while OneHE’s members will have the option to become paid or quid pro quo reviewers for the Peer Review Portal.

Dr Sara Booth, Academic Director OPS, trading as Peer Review Portal, said “My husband Ian (Co-Founder/ CEO) and I are excited at having the opportunity to expand internationally in various disciplines with a company that has similar core values like OneHE, particularly having a person of the stature of Mark at the helm.”

Dr Mark Jones, Founder and Managing Director of OneHE, said “Peer Review Portal is transforming the way peer review is undertaken, making it easier than ever for educators to benchmark their practice. The potential to combine this with a community of passionate like-minded educators who are driven to improve teaching and learning was too good an opportunity to miss.”

The two organisations will begin promoting collaborations between their memberships over the coming months.
